Alliance for ALL
About the Fund
The Equity and Access Fund is a pool of funds specifically designated to fund memberships for nonprofit organizations with limited financial resources, who also meet TACFS’s eligibility standards with consideration to our goals of expanding racial, ethnic, regional, and economic diversity and inclusion across our membership. The fund will launch and be financed through voluntary donations from other TACFS members, with an emphasis on contributions from organizations that have an ability to contribute resources beyond their annual membership dues. The long-term goal of the Equity and Access Fund will be to identify a funder interested in matching funds from other voluntary donations and philanthropic sources.
We understand that one major barrier to membership of TACFS for providers is lack of consistent access to unrestricted funds. Through the Equity and Access Fund, we seek to provide the opportunity for full memberships for qualifying community-based organizations that have no or very little available unrestricted funding.
We are an ALLiance for ALL and we believe our collective voice will be stronger and more impactful together.
- Recipient organizations receive a free or discounted all-access one-year membership (Learn all about TACFS member benefits) or free/discounted access to the Texas Child Care Administrators Conference
- Recipients will have the opportunity to be matched with a capacity partner to help the new member maximize membership of TACFS
- Membership would be externally indistinguishable from any other TACFS member
Diversifying of our network through all-access memberships offers historically excluded organizations the opportunity to network, collaborate, and learn alongside peers in order to strengthen the network of providers serving the children and youth of Texas.
Including a range of voices at the table to inform and advance our advocacy agenda will also help advance the mission of TACFS. A robust array of voices will help TACFS influence policy makers, national, state and local leaders and others with policy and funding authority over child, youth and family serving systems.

Who should give to the Equity & Access Fund?
All TACFS member organizations, community and corporate partners, and sponsors are encouraged to join us in helping to build the Equity & Access Fund. Any sized gift will be foundational to creating the lasting impact we hope to make with the Fund.
Who will be able to apply to the Equity & Access Fund?
Community-based, nonprofit organizations who are already be eligible for TACFS membership can apply for the Equity & Access Fund. Organizations that serve underserved areas, are BIPOC-led, and that have a historically-marginalized staff representation are those primarily considered for this Fund.
Thank you for the Equity and Access scholarship approval! As a fairly new nonprofit organization, we are still developing and look forward to making new connections as we learn and grow – all the while making a positive difference in the lives of so many youth, young adults, and families impacted by the child welfare system.
