The Texas Center for Child and Family Studies in partnership with Houston- based organization Monarch Family Services is pleased to announce the onset of the Young Adult Pandemic Aid (PanAid), a funding opportunity for young adults that have aged-out of foster care or youth in extended care who experienced financial hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic. This opportunity is specifically applicable for older youth and young adults ages 18-26 (or up to their 27th birthday) and is designed to help them afford immediate and basic needs such as rent, groceries, cell phone bills and more. Learn more details on the TACFS Website.
Our goal is to reach as many young adults as possible with this exciting opportunity! Here are a couple of ways to do so:
- Become a Funding Distribution Partner: If you are a community organization in the state of Texas, you can help by applying to partner in distributing these funds. Child placing agencies, shelters and universities with supervised independent living programs are all highly encouraged to participate and complete an application. Learn more and apply here.
- Post on Social Media by copying and pasting any of these pre-drafted tweets, Facebook Posts, or Instagram Stories to help us maximize our reach on the platforms where we all find our news.
If you have any specific questions, please reach out to TACFS at info@tacfs.org or call Monarch Family Services at (281) 236-3989.
