For more than three years, Isaiah, Jordan and Sophia lingered in foster care, often separated from each other, after enduring physical abuse and neglect. They longed for a safe, permanent place to call home … together.
Thankfully, the siblings were reunited and adopted by Shane and Adrian with support from the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s Wendy’s Wonderful Kids® program. Through the program, the Foundation supports the hiring of adoption professionals, known as recruiters, who are dedicated to finding permanent families for children in foster care who are too often overlooked. That includes teenagers, children with special needs and siblings.
Today, Isaiah, Jordan and Sophia get to travel the world and experience many special firsts with their forever family.
“For our family, adoption means that our children don’t have to worry one more second about when they’re going to be asked to leave or what bed they will sleep in next,” shared Adrian.
“They know that they have a home for life.”
