Practice Self-Regulation: Training for Clinicians

Practice Self-Regulation™️ (PS-R) is a resilience-based, trauma-informed intervention promoting health and well-being for anyone impacted by adverse experiences. Grounded in leading-edge neuroscience, PS-R teaches participants to put past trauma in a new light, manage emotions in healthy ways, and take steps toward achieving life goals. It is evidence-informed and is considered a promising innovative practice based on evaluation in two 5-year federally-funded randomized controlled studies. Practice Self-Regulation for Sexual Health, our flagship program, supports healthy relationships and safe sex practices.

Times: March 20th-23rd, 9am-4pm

Location:  in person in Austin, Texas

Cost: Thanks to generous funding from the Office of the Governor, this training is free for participants.

Melonie Pinder, LMHC and Board Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) isthe Marketing and Credentialing Coordinator for PS-R. She pursued this passion after 10years in marketing and sales for the hospitality industry. Her expertise includes in-home family therapy, school-based services, mentoring young people of color, and criminal justice work in county jails.

Melonie owns two companies in Florida: Pinder Counseling LLC, and Private Practice Prep Academy LLC, a mentoring program for mental health professionals opening private practices. She provides extensive training on research-based strategies addressing trauma, domestic and intimate-partner violence, and effective parenting.
