About TAC
TAC is the only accredited certificate program in adoption competency in the country. This evidence-based training is designed to increase access to adoption, competent mental health professionals, and to improve the wellbeing of adoptees in our communities. Participants join weekly, interactive, instructor-led sessions in a virtual format.
Participants get 60 pre-approved CEUS!
What will you learn?
- Working with adopted children, youth, and adoptive families
- Understanding how trauma impacts adopted children and building the tools to support their recovery
- Develop skills in working with adoptees and families with open and ongoing connections with birth families
- So much more!
Who should take TAC?
- Hold a master’s degree (or higher) in social work, counseling, or a related field.
- Be clinically licensed or under supervision toward licensure and work regularly with adoptive families in a clinical setting.
- OR, be a master’s-level professional who supervises or works closely with adoption/kinship professionals and can apply the training in practice.

- Module 11: Provided separately by C.A.S.E.
- Module 12: Aug. 4 & 5
Apply by October 3, 2025 for the current cohort.
Course costs have been underwritten by Heart Galleries of Texas. A $300 deposit will secure a seat in the training and will be refunded upon completion of all of the instructor-led training modules including the 11th one provided by C.A.S.E.
