Training for Adoption Competency (TAC)

About TAC

TAC is the only accredited certificate program in adoption competency in the country. This evidence-based training is designed to increase access to adoption, competent mental health professionals, and to improve the wellbeing of adoptees in our communities. Participants join weekly, interactive, instructor-led sessions in a virtual format.​

The TAC course coming up is a series of 10 instructor-led virtual from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Module 1: Provided online and self-paced
  • Module 2: Nov. 4 & 5
  • Module 3: Dec. 3 & 4
  • Module 4: Jan. 12 & 14
  • Module 5: Feb. 10 & 11
  • Module 6: Mar. 3 & 4
  • Module 7: Apr. 14 & 15
  • Module 8: May 12 & 13
  • Module 9: Jun. 2 & 3
  • Module 10: July 7 & 8
  • Module 11: Provided separately by C.A.S.E.
  • Module 12: Aug. 4 & 5

Apply by October 3, 2025 for the current cohort.

Course costs have been underwritten by Heart Galleries of Texas. A $300 deposit will secure a seat in the training and will be refunded upon completion of all of the instructor-led training modules including the 11th one provided by C.A.S.E.
