Presented by My Life My Choice
This introductory 3hr training will help executive leadership and direct care staff understand and appropriately respond to the needs that are presented in a residential setting by youth who have undergone commercial sexual exploitation and youth with high risk factors. Attendees will learn how youth are recruited into commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking, what factors increase youth vulnerability to exploiters, and how to address the underlying needs of both exploited youth and youth who are at risk of future exploitation. This training is designed to be compliant with the new statutes provided for in SB1896 regarding residential providers who are serving these youth.
My Life My Choice is a nationally recognized organization at the forefront of survivor leadership, CSEY program development, and training.
This training is hosted by the Clinical Consortium at the Texas Center for Family and Child Studies, and it is provided at no cost thanks to the Office of the Governor of Texas. Registration for each session is limited to 100 participants. If you have any questions, please contact shall@tacfs.org
