TACFS Behavioral and Mental Health Cohort Meeting

February 16, 2023 | 3:30pm

Attend

Children and youth involved with or at risk of involvement with the child welfare system have high rates of behavioral and mental health needs, yet families and providers face significant barriers to accessing home and community-based services.  We believe these children are unique and deserve to have their needs met by community-based organizations that are serving the state’s child welfare system and who fully understand the impact of trauma on a child and family.

TACFS has been working to raise awareness of the barriers and potential solutions that impact our collective ability to expand mental health capacity for children within or at risk of involvement with the child welfare system.  To support this work, we have formed a Behavioral and Mental Health Cohort for members to go deeper into this issue and identify opportunities to achieve systemic change.

Please join us for a virtual meeting of the TACFS Behavioral and Mental Health Cohort on February 16th from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. During this meeting, you will have the opportunity to learn about and provide feedback on our advocacy efforts and discuss how we might further support your organization as you endeavor to meet the mental and behavioral health needs of children.  To access the meeting, please join using the following link: Join the meeting.
