Attend“The Commercial Sexual Exploitation–Identification Tool (CSE-IT, pronounced “see it”), developed by WestCoast Children’s Clinic, is a validated, evidence-based screening tool that helps professionals recognize signs that a young person may be experiencing commercial sexual exploitation or human trafficking.
The CSE-IT was developed with input from over 100 survivors and service providers, and it was validated through a 15-month pilot study, meaning that the CSE-IT is backed by strong statistical and qualitative evidence. Designed to be used as a universal screening tool, this simple to use screening tool helps identify youth at risk of or experiencing commercial sexual exploitation. Any provider working with youth, including child welfare workers, mental health providers, advocates, educators, and first responders can utilize the tool for screening via Lighthouse.
By training to become a CSE-IT user, you’ll join a growing network of Texas professionals committed to seeing the signs, understanding the risks, and changing outcomes for the most vulnerable young people in the state.”
