Strengthening Residential Care

Following the Strengthening Therapeutic Care Symposium in June, we will be launching a series called Strengthening Residential Care. As part of this series, we will host quarterly, interactive virtual sessions with guest speakers and an opportunity for peer engagement, on relevant topics.  Please join us for our first one on Tuesday, September 19 from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Our guest will be Praesidium, a national leader in abuse risk management. Experts in risk management and licensed social workers, Laura and Ashley will lead an engaging session on how leaders of residential operations can take a strong approach to new pre-employment screening and reference check requirements. Praesidium will share best practices and strategies to competently assess an applicant’s abuse risk and suitability in working with children through conducting reference checks. Participants will also get a free resource of reference check questions from Praesidium.
