Texas Institute for Child & Family Wellbeing and TACFS Launch Permanency Project Opportunity for Child Placing Agencies

We are thrilled to officially announce that the Texas Institute for Child & Family Wellbeing at the University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work is requesting proposals for implementation of the Texas Permanency Outcomes Project (TXPOP). The purpose of this 5-year project is to assist public and private child welfare agencies in engaging birth families in planning and decision-making, building partnerships between birth families and foster families, and increasing foster children’s sense of belonging.

Child placing agencies will receive technical assistance and support from the Texas Institute for Child and Family Wellbeing and the Texas Center for Child and Family Studies in implementing this new practice model as well as funding for project implementation.

This is an exciting project and we encourage you to click here to learn more and here to view the Request for Proposal.  Proposals are due by December 4th, 2019 and there will be two webinars answering any questions about the RFP in late November. Please feel free to email Jolynne Batchelor at Jolynne.Batchelor@austin.utexas.edu with any questions.
