AttendTarget Audience: Professionals working with Foster Parents
The Center will be hosting the 5-day training: Fostering in the Best & Hardest of Times: Caring for High-Risk Youth & Child Victims of Sex Trafficking
Child-serving professionals and foster families have critical roles to play in recognizing, responding, and preventing the commercial sexual exploitation of youth, often referred to as child sex trafficking.
This 5-day IN-PERSON training, will equip you as a trainer in your organization and community through an educational curriculum, resource guide, and service model based on two overarching assumptions: 1) at-risk youth and victims of sex trafficking/ commercial sexual exploitation frequently come into contact with the Texas foster care system; 2) if provided with education, training, and multidisciplinary support, foster families can care for and safely maintain victims and high-risk youth in their homes and in the community.
All participants will be REQUIRED to complete the online training prior to attending the in-person training. Please go to http://learnwithjusticeu.com/csecseries-us/ to complete the digital certification. Use the coupon code TX2023 to zero out the cost.
